GDPR/DSGVO Regulations

Our app complies with GDPR/DSGVO regulations by not collecting personal data, using accessed data solely for specified purposes, and ensuring secure, temporary storage.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German equivalent Datenschutz-Grundverordnung (DSGVO) are regulations in EU law on data protection and privacy. They aim to give control to individuals over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business.

Under GDPR/DSGVO, we are obligated to protect personal data and use it only for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes. We must also ensure that data is processed lawfully, transparently, and securely.

In our case, we do not collect any personal data or store data (Orders, Customers, etc.). The data we access from your Shopify account is used solely for the purpose of generating exports for you.

All data processing takes place on servers housed in the EU, ensuring that your data remains within the GDPR/DSGVO jurisdiction and is handled with the utmost care and security.

In DataChamp, we provide a variety of storage options to cater to your specific needs. These options include:

  • DataChamp: This is our proprietary storage option. When you choose this, your data is securely stored using Amazon S3.

  • DataChamp - Feed: This option provides you with a feed URL. Like the DataChamp option, data stored via the DataChamp - Feed option is also securely stored using Amazon S3.

  • Google Drive / Google Sheets: With this option, you can directly store your data in your Google Drive or Google Sheets. This allows for easy access and manipulation of your data.

  • Dropbox: This option allows you to store your data directly in your Dropbox account, providing a seamless data storage experience.

  • FTP: For those who prefer traditional methods, we offer the option to store your data via FTP (File Transfer Protocol).

Please note that for the storage options "DataChamp" and "DataChamp - Feed", we store your data using Amazon S3 (the data is stored in EU/Frankfurt). For all other storage options, we do not store any data - the data is stored on the servers/accounts you provide (Google Drive, Dropbox, FTP).
