Export from Shopify to FTP
In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the process of connecting DataChamp to an FTP server for report exporting. With FTP integration, you can transfer your Shopify data to an external server, ensuring easy access to information.
Open DataChamp Settings
Start by accessing the Settings option in the App Menu of DataChamp.
Configure FTP Server
Navigate to the "Storage" section and set up your FTP server details. This includes entering the FTP server address, port number, username, and password. You can also go straight to specific folders in your FTP storage by entering the path, like this example: /My Reports
Test Connection
After entering the FTP server details, test the connection. DataChamp will indicate if there are any issues with the login credentials. For example:
Set Up Your Report
Once the FTP server connection is successfully established, you can proceed to set up your report. This involves defining the data fields you want to include in the report, specifying any filters or conditions, and configuring the formatting options.
Choose FTP as Storage Option
Within the Report settings, you'll find an option to select the storage destination for the exported report. Choose FTP as the storage option from the dropdown menu.
Run the Report
Initiate the report and wait for it to complete. Once finished, review the results to ensure that the data has been successfully exported to your FTP server.
Tip: Remember, if you ever update or change your FTP server login credentials, it's crucial to update the information within the DataChamp Settings as well. Failure to do so may result in failed uploads and interrupted data transfer processes. Always ensure consistency between your FTP server credentials and DataChamp settings to maintain smooth operation.
